The Trust Agency of Australasia has deferred the question of a dividend on its preference shares till the year’s result is known. THE PRICE OF GOLD. London, Dec. 12. The price of gold is £6 6s 2d an ounce, compared with £6 6s 8d yesterday and £6 7s lid bn November 25. WOOL PRICES REMAIN FIRM. REALISATIONS IN LONDON. London, Dec. 12. At the wool sales 7041 bales were offered, including 2967 from New Zealand, and about 5680 were sold. There was brisk home and Continental competition at firm rates. New Zealand greasy crossbred, London Hill, made top 94d, average BJd; slipe halfbred lamb, Fairfield, top 12Jd; average, 11 |d. On the Bradford market there is slightly more activity in fine tops. WHEAT FROM AUSTRALIA. FULL CARGO OF 4200 TONS. Sydney, Dec. 13. The first full cargo of wheat from Sydney to New Zealand for a number of years is being loaded on the Kairanga, sailing for Auckland to-morrow. The shipment totals 4200 tons.
