WEDDINGS.
NIELSEN—TALBOT. The-marriage took, place at the Eltham Presbyterian Church on Thursday of Beatrice Lairnia, only daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. Talbot, to Leo Eric, fourth son of Mr. and Mrs. G. Nielsen. The Rev. J. A. Ryburn was the minister. . The bride, who entered the church with her fattier, was attired, in a pretty afternoon frock of biege .floral crepe suede, with coatee to. match. Her black chip straw hat was smartly tilted on the right side and she carried a bouquet of orange Iceland poppies, blue larkspur and asparagus fem. Miss Norah ; Sheehy was bridesmaid. She wore a dainty frock of blue floral georgette- with blue straw hat 'to- tone. Her bouquet was of cream roses, blue delphiniums and asparagus' fern. Mrs. S. Norris, friend of the bride, made the bouquets. Mr. Lawrence Nielsen attended his brother as best man.
The bride’s mother wore a brown .celanese frock and coatee, with brown, 'hat, and carried a posy of apricot roses .and maidenhair fern. The bridegroom’s, mother wore a navy tailored costume’ 'with, navy pandan straw hat, adn her ; bouquet was of pale pink sweet peas and maidenhair. fem. After the wedding the guests were entertained at a wedding breakfast given iby Mr. Sheehy, and in the evening a number of friends attended a dance given by: Mr. and Mrs. Talbot in the ■< Oddfellows’ hall, Mr. J. D. McKay pro’posed the toast of the bride and bridegroom, and Mr. J. Bates took the opportunity of presenting the couple with a beautiful, salad bowl and salad, set from the Oddfellows’ Lodge, of which both are members.
. The grand march was led by Pipers E. Campbell and B. Orr. A competition; was won by Miss K. Nielsen, and Monte Carlo dances were won by Mr. Tayler and Miss Cross, and Mr. Wilson and Mrs. Lawrence. Miss Margaret Lawrence gave a tap dance, and responded to an encore with a skipping dance and a sailor’s hornpipe.
