ACCEPTANCE BY CROYDON. FIRST VOTE UNDER NEW ACT. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Rec. 10 p.m. London, Nov. 30. A vote at Croydon regarding Sunday cinemas, which was the first under the new Act, showed a favourable majority of 10,231. The Bishop of Croydon regards this as satisfactory, because it permits serving the community by showing suitable Sunday evening films as a public duty.
