By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright.
Rec. 10.5 p.m. New York, Nov. 29. A correctly dressed young man twirled a cane and talked pleasantly with customers in the Continental Bank in New York’s financial district. While the teller was momentarily absent the visitor nimbly reached his cane into the cage. It had a steel hook with which he snagged five Liberty bonds worth £20,000 each to the bearer. The theft was discovered within three minutes but the handsome visitor had departed.
