NEWS’ CHRISTMAS NUMBER
SHORT STORY COMPETITION. Entries are invited for the Taranaki Daily News’ Christmas number short story competition for 1932. Prizes will be awarded as follows:— First Prize £3 3s. Second Prize £2 2s. In addition one guinea will be paid for each short story accepted for publication, apart from the prize-winning contributions. Stories submitted must not have appeared in print previously, and should be not more than 3000 words in length, equivalent to about three columns of the Daily News. The decision of the editor shall be final, M.S.S. Should, if possible, be typewritten, on one side of the paper only, and entries should be forwarded to the Editor, Taranaki Daily News, Box 119, New Plymouth, the package to be flat and clearly marked “Christmas Competition.” The last folio of M.S.S. should bear the name and address of the competitor. Stamps must be enclosed if the competitor desires the return of the M.S.S. Entries close at midnight on Saturday, December 3. " ‘
