WHITELEY CHURCH
SUNDAY SCHOOL ANNIVERSARY. Sunday school anniversary services were held in the Whiteley Memorial Church, New Plymouth, yesterday, when the scholars, assisted by members of the Bible classes and the choir, led the singing of special hymns. The conductor was Mr. H. C. Gatland, who obtained very fine results from the children s The morning service was conducted by the Rev. R. B. Gosnell, the afternoon by the Rev. W. B. Cuming, and evening by the minister of the church, the Rev. Clarence Eaton. In the evening the commodious church was crowded. Solos were sung throughout the services of the day by Dorothy Riley, Jean BOne and lan Riley. Miss Vera Sowerby assisted at the piano and Mr. G. H. White played the organ. This evening in Whiteley school the annual tea and distribution of prizes will take place, parents and friends having been invited to the evening public gathering.
