BURGLARY IN GROCERY

HIDDEN MONEY DISAPPEARS.

OWNER EVIDENTLY WATCHED.

While Mr. E. Howard, grocer, and his wife were at church last evening a burglar entered the grocery store and got away with £45 iu cheques and cash which the owner thought was securely hidden. It is believed that the owner’s movements had been observed _ by. th© intruder, for other money lying in a bag on a table in the kitchen adjoining was not touched. The burglar presumably went straight to the hidden money. This is the second burglary here within the week, the first being at the Premier Drapery Company’s premises, where a large assortment of apparel was taken.
