WORLD PLEASURE CRUISE

MAURETANIA VISIT POSSIBLE.

INQUIRY MADE AT AUCKLAND.

By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Nov. 7.

Although definite information is not available, it is possible that the Cunard liner Mauretania will visit Auckland next year in the course of a world cruise. The owners of the vessel have recently been making inquiries as to the port facilities at Auckland. The Mauretania’s gross tonnage is 30,696, compared with 20,277 tons of the Carinthia, the largest passenger ship which has yet visited Auckland, although the warship Hood, which was here in 1924, is 42,000 tons.
