ATTACKS UPON WOMEN.
HYPODERMIC NEEDLE THEORY.

The police are investigating a series of attacks in crowded streets on young European women and girls with what is thought to be a hypodermic needle. Blood tests have been taken in seven cases, , During the last few days several young women have complained of having felt a slight scratch or stab from a sharp instrument. On an examination of their skins marks of a puncture have been found. Altogether 15 have been made to the police. * A man who was acting auspiciously m a crowd was chased-, and captured by. a policeman to-day, but a search revealed nothing. .
