There was a sequel to the accident that befe'l Miss Veronica MoKelliget, who fell from a second storey -window to the roof of a New -Plymouth shop verandah on Thursday evening. It was .the arrest of James 'Sullivan. .
■Sullivan, charged that with intent to do grievous bodily harm to Mfes MdKelliget. he caused actual bodily harm to her, appeared before Mr. E. O, Flyger, J.P., yesterday morning and on the application of Senior-Sergeant McCrorie he was remanded till Wednesday. ' 'Bail was granted Sullivan, for whom Mr. J. H. Sheat appeared, in his own recognisance of £lOO and one surety of £lOO, or two of £9O. . ' '
■ Mies McKelliget suffered a compound fracture of a leg and the dislocation of an ankle.
