President Pascual Ortiz Rubio, head ot the Mexican Government since 1930, sent his resignation to Congress to-day, thus bringing the turbulent political crisis to a head after three weeks of rumour and uncertainty. 111-health is understood to be President Rubio’s reason for" resgning. General Abelardo L. L. Rodriguez has been designated by Congress to succeed President Rubio. He will take the oath tomorrow.
