MADMAN MURDERS INFANT

James Granshaw, aged 39, railway fitter, a widower, ran amok at Townsville (Queensland), killed, his infant eon with a boot-last and. attacked Mrs. Elizabeth Nennes, aged 24, with a razor blade. The terrible wounds in her neck, face and shoulders necessitated thirty stitches. Her condition is critical. Granshaw finally committed suicide by severing the arteries in arms and taking poison. He boarded with Mr». Nennes’ mother.
