BRITONS’ EARLY VICTORIES. By Telegraph.—Press Association. New York, Aug. 10. Four British tennis stars, Austin, 'Perry, Oliff and Avory, arrived last night for the Eastern Turf Court championships at Rye and romped through the first round matches. In the second round Austin defeated Ernest Kuhn (New Y k), B—lo, fr- 2, 6 —3; Oliff defeated Walter Marton (Canada), 6—2, 6—o, 6—o. Miss Ridley and Miss Pittman reached the women’s singles set i-final.
