Gold Dawn did strong pace work on the plough. t At Hawera the weather was fine for training operations, though a very co southerly wind was blowing. The trial, grass was available for fast work., . La Crown was first to work, going half, a mile in 513-ss. • . Divola went half a mile from the six furlong post to the two in 5.145, moving very nicely. , . ■ . . Carfex finished two length? in i ronfc of Tenadre over three furlongs in 38Js. Aga Khan after cantering a round qm. three-quarter pace work. Attentive and Chief Lion were given steady pace work, Green Lmnett also doing steady exerciseChief Link and Calamine were compan-. ions over a mile at a working gallop in Im. 575., both moving attractively. Miss Shef, with a welter weight up, finnished two lengths in front of Kissless over half a mile in 545. The Tiger after cantering a round was given three-quarter pace Work. Davistock was given useful pace worK on the plough. .' . , Orby’s Choice was moving nicely over three furlongs in 38 3-ss. Peschiera and Constant Sun gave a very pleasing display over three furlongs in 375. The two-year-olds, Golden Hair and the Grandcourt—Table Talk colt, in company, were given useful pacing exercise. Royal Papa and Silvermine were companions over six furlongs, finishing together in Im. 18s—a very good .gallop, as both were going nicely at the finish. Seamond was given two rounds at halfpace on the plough.
