PROXY MARRIAGE
DALMATIAN AND HIS BRIDE.
LONG SEPARATION ENDED.
Auckland, Aug. 9.. Separated from a sweetheart of his boyhood days for 20 years, a young Dalmatian resident of Auckland met her again to-day as hifi wife. The bride, now in her 28th year, iB a native of Podgoria, Jugo-Slavia, and her marriage with Mr. Cleffi MeliSh took place by proxy in August last year in her home town. Tho bride came out with two of her couhtrywoiiien. Customs officers had some difficulty in checking the passports of the parties, but Mr. M. A. Ferri, a Dalmatian interpreter, quickly explained that no further formalities or church ceremonies would be necessary. Husband and wife started thOrf honeymoon tour hand in hand as they walked down the gangway. ,
