MID-CANTERBURY INQUIRY. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Aug. 10. The chief electoral officer has received from Mr. Ching, the returning officer for Mid-Canterbury, a report 011 the inquiry made by him into the challenge issued against the election expenses of Mr. J; Connolly, M.P. Mr. Hodgkins said that at present there was nothing for publication.
