NEW PLYMOUTH CLUB’S MATCHES. MEN’S BRANCH DEFEATS LADIES. A team from the men’s miniature branch of the New Plymouth' Rifle Club defeated a team from the ladies’ branch at the ladies’ weekly club night by 571 points to 558 points. Florence 40—18—58. The senior button was won by Miss J. Beal, who with Miss G. Griffith scored 64, Miss Griffith defaulting in the shoot off. A shoot-off to decide a tie in the last concluded handicap competition between Misses I. Papp& and C. Kretschmar was won by Miss Kretschmar by 68 to 60. It is proposed to hold a triangular match between the Waitara Club and the New Plymouth men's and ladies’ branches. The match will take place either next week or the following week.
