SCHOOL COMMITTEE MEETING. The monthly meeting of the Waitara jr school committee was held on Monday a night, Mr. W. B. Glasgow presiding. Mr. - Glasgow received the congratulations of e the committee and the headmaster on i his election to the Taranaki Education f Board. Purdie (first prizes), Messrs. J. Roberts and C. Tanne (second prizes). The annual meeting of the Waitara Ladies’ Croquet Club was held on Monday. Mrs. I. Chittenden presided. A balance of £2 on the year’s working was considered satisfactory. Mrs. Muschamp was re-elected secretary. The election of a president was deferred. It was reported that the courts were receiving attention at the hands of the caretaker in readiness for the coming season.
