MR. LAMONT ENTERS BUSINESS MOTOR CHAIRMAN APPOINTED. By Telegraph—Press Assn.—Copyright. Washington, Aug. 3. President Hoover to-day received and accepted the resignation of the Secretary of Mr. Robert P. Lamont, and immediately appointed Mr. Roy Chapin, chairman of the Hudson Motor-ear Company, his -uccessor. The President said Mr. Lamont found it necessary to resign in order to reenter private business. He praised Mr. Lamont. Mr, Lamont, who was appointed in 1929, belongs to Illinois. He is 65 years of age.
