STEAMER ULIMAROA
TRANSFER TO NEW RUN. SYDNEY-HOBART TRADE. The Huddart-Parker steamer Ulimaroa, which was withdrawn from the intercolonial passenger service early last April, and -laid up at Sydney for an extensive overhaul and refit, is to be placed in the Sydney-Hobart trade toward the encl of October. The Zealandia, which replaced the Ulimaroa in the intercolonial service, ivill continue on her present run. Launched in January, 1908, from the yards of Gourlay Bros, and Company, Ltd., Dundee, the Ulimaroa was specially built for the passenger service between Australia and New Zealand, and ran continually in that service, with the exception of the period 1916-1919, when she was trooping. Captain W. J. Wyllie, now in command of the Zealandia, was master of the Ulimaroa continuously from 1908 until she laid up last April, and under his command the Ulimaroa,, always a popular ship, made over 400 round voyages in the intercolonial service, in addition to her years of service trooping, without. on© serious mishap.
