OLD MAN ALLEGES ASSAULT
HEAD INJURIES SUFFERED. By Telegraph.—press Association. Dunedin, July 30. Langford McConnell, aged 86, an, oldage pensioner, residing in a lane off King Street, was found wandering in George Street at 8 o'clock this morning suffering from wounds to the head and eyes. He stated that his hut was broken into last night by men who assaulted him and robbed him of £l3. He had wandered out for help at daylight. His injuries arc not considered serious except in conjunction with his age.
