TWO MEMORIALS IN PRANCE
MEN OF THE BRITISH AIR FORCES. CEREMONIES ON WESTERN FRONJ. >- ’ (British Official Wireless). Rec. 5.5 p.m. Rugby, July 29. Air Marshal Sir Hugh Trenchard will at Arras on Sunday unveil a memorial bearing the names of 34,921 officers and men of the British Empire who between the spring of 1916 and August; 1918, died in Arras and the neighbourhood, but whose graves are' not known. With it is a memorial to over 1000 men of the British Air Forces who lie in nameless graves on the Western Front. Monday’s ceremony at Thiepval, when the Prince, of Wales will unveil a memorial, is being broadcast in Britain. France, Belgium, Canada, South Africa and the United States.
