WAGES OF TRAMWAYMEN
NEW SCHEDULE AT CHRISTCHURCH

New wages and conditions for employees were adopted at to-day s meeting of the Christchurch Tramways Board. The principal changes are that Sunday work will be paid at the rate of time and a half instead .of double time and that greater flexibility _in working hours is allowed. It is claimed by the board that tho weekly earnings of the men will not be reduced.
