EXTENSION OF THE W.D.F.U.
. BRANCH FORMED AT BRIXTON. A record meeting for Brixton was held last Tuesday, when Mrs. Marsh, Taranaki organiser, gave an on . aims and objects of the W.D.F.L. Aftei questions had been asked and answeied the 39 ladies present unanimously resolved to form a branch at Brixton. The following officials were elected: President, Mrs. McCaul; vice-presidents, Mrs. Hopson and Miss Purdie; secretary and treasurer, Miss Muir; committee, Mesdames Polletti and Johnson, Misses Hopson, Higgins and Dring. Mr. Longstaff has given the use of a building for meetings and it was decided to hold meetings there every month. It was decided to meet at the building On Thursday to consider renovation. A vote of thanks was passed to Mrs. Marsh for her attendance and to Mr. Johnson for the use of his building. Afternoon lea was served.
