Duleepsinhji 132, Pataudi 165, Jardine 64, Chapman 11, Allen 0j Brown 5 Allom 1 not out, Levett 1, extras 17. Players in their first innings made 301. The gentlemen of India* aind not of England dominated the match. Duleepsinhji ecored a distinguished century after a fortunate escape at 24. The still improving Pataudi was less adventurous but was equally competent, wristy and quick-footed. They wore down the bowling. Larwood caused them no trouble. The All-India v. Durham and. the South Americans v. Rowlands’ Eleven matches were abandoned owing to rain.
