MINIATURE RIFLE SHOOTING
MATCHES FOR AIEN AND WOMEN. As a. result of this week’s competitions for women members of the Nkw Plymouth Miniature Rifle Club the senior button was won by Aliss Kretschmar with a score of 61 out of a. possible 70, and the junior button was won by Miss Reeve after firing off a tie with Miss N. Beal, both competitors having scored 55 out of 70. In the fire-off they made 5’7 and 5'5 respectively. The scores in the senior competitions were:—
Championship; C. Kretschmar 61, A. Bell 60, S. Papps 60, G. Griffith 59, E. Milner 57, L . Papps 54, D. Philpott 54, P. Death 48, E. Pruden 42, J. Beal 33. Handicap; A. Bell, 60—o—6a; C. Kretschmar, 61 —4—65; S. Papps, 60— s—-65; G. Griffith, 50—'5—64; I. Papps, 54—4)—63. The juniors will be given another two or three weeks’, practice before their competitions begin.
