Wellington, Last Night. The weather will be unsettled, squally and changeable with intermittent rain in most districts, heavy rain in parts of the western districts and snow on some of the high country of the South Island. Temperatures will become cold. An intense cyclone is centred to-day off the east coast of Otago and extensive low pressure areas are still situated over the Tasman Sea and south-eastern Australia.

There will be westerly winds, strong to gale force with a southerly tendency in places and. becoming south-westerly generally after about 24 hours. Seas will be heavy on the west coast of the North Island and rough elsewhere. SHIPPING MOVEMENTS. Auckland, June 17:— Arrived: Elveric, 12.15 a.m., from Java.
