INDIANS DEFEAT CAMBRIDGE.

In the cricket match Cambridge v. All India, Cambridge, after making 92 in the first innings, in the second made 274 (Ratcliff 122 not out; Amar Singh six for. 70). India, after making 308 in the first innings, in the second lost one for 59. India won by nine wickets. County cricket results are:—• Kent beat M.C.C.: M.C.C. in the first innings made 285 (Pataudi 84 not out), and in the second 216 (Pataudi 73). Kent in the first innings made 481 (Woolley 97, Chapman 72) and in the second lost none for 23. Kent won by ten wickets.

Surrye beat Derbyshire: Surrey in the first innings made 315. (Barling 82; Copson four for 23), and in the second lost nine for 207 and declared. Derbyshire in the first innings made 168 and in the second 155. Surrey won by 199 runs.

Sussex beat Worcestershire: Worcestershire in the first innings made 88 (Tate four for 26, Bowley four for 20), and in the second 153 (Tate four for 47). Sussex in the first innings made 343 (Duleepsinhji 116). Sussex won by an innings and 102 runs. Northamptonshire beat Essex: Northants in the first innings made 259 and in the second lost nine for 284 and declared. Essex in the first innings made 220 and in the second lost six for 136. Northants won on the first innings. Yorkshire beat Gloucestershire: Yorkshire in the first innings made 418 (Mitchell 140, Sellars 85). Gloucestershire in the first innings made 173 (Bowes five for 49) and followed on, making 150. Yorkshire won by an innings and 95 runs. Lancashire beat Hampshire: cashire in the first innings made 283 (Tyldesley 83, Herman six for S 3) and in the second lost two for 215 and declared (Tyldesley 122 not out). Hampshire in the first innings made 272 (Mead OS) and in the second lost two for 21. Lancashire won on the first innings. Glamorgan beat Leicestershire: Leicestershire in the first innings made 84, and in the second 6S. Glamorgan in the first innings made 338 (E. Davies 103). Glamorgan won by an innings and 186 runs.

Warwickshire beat Middlesex: Middlesex in the first innings made IS4 (Roberts three for 6) and in the second 377 (Hearne 78). Warwickshire in the first innings made 261 (Groom 90), and in the second lost nine for 271 (Wyatt 103 not out). Warwickshire won on the /* .
