According to a Cologne message Fraulein Aussem is not defending her title at Wimbledon and has been ordered a rest. . A Copenhagen message states that in the third round of the Davis Cup match Kuwahara (Japan) beat Ulrich (Denmark) 6—4, 6 —2, 66. T A New York message states: In the Davis Cun zone final between the Unittd Stated and Brazil, Shields (U.S.A.) defeated Rickardo (Pernambuco) 6—l, 3—6, 6—3, B—6; Allison (U.S.A.) defeated Nelson Cruz 6—3, 6—2, 6—3.
