GENERAL AND PERSONAL ITEMS.

The enlarged floor space for dancing was much appreciated by the large number of patrons who attended the euchre and dance party held in the Pihama hall last Tuesday. The prizes were won by Mrs. Riley 1, Miss Hair 2, Mr. A. Wicks 1, and Mr. A. Hughes 2. The supper arrangements were made by Miss Violet Hall and Miss T. Crofskey. Messrs. Hall and Segar were masters of ceremony. The music for the dance was supplied by Mr. Jack Hooker. Mr. and Mrs. W. Kirk are away on holidays. Mr. B. Dickson is spending a week or so at Auckland.

Mr. and Mrs. W. Clarke have returned to Hamilton.

Mr. and Mrs. lan Guilds have taken up their residence in the district.

FINAL SCREENING AT HAWERA

The English musical comedy, “Man of Mayfair,” starring Jack Buchanan, supported by an all-star cast, will be presented finally to-night at the Hawera Opera House. Commencing to-morrow with a matinee at 2 p.m., there will be shown for a season of two nights and two matinees “Hell Divers,” the Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer sensational romance of naval aviation. The box plans for this extraordinary attraction are now filling rapidly at Miss Blake's. Watch for the “Hell Divers” aeroplane, which will appear over Hawera to-morrow.at noon.
