MATCH FOR ALL BLACKS
ARRANGEMENTS AT WELLINGTON. UNION MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Arrangements for the special match at Athletic Park on June 15 between a Wellington team and the New Zealand fifteen were made by the management committee of the New Zealand Rugby Football Union this evening. The chairman, Mr. 9. S. Dean, said the All Blacks had been asked if they would be available to play on Wednesday, and a practically unanimous reply in the affirmative was received. He thought the committee should go ahead and make the necessary arrangements. It was decided that Wellington men in the All Black team should not be eligible to play for Wellington. F. Kilby (Wellington) and E. R. G. Steer© (Hawke’s Bay) were appointed captain and vice-captain respectively of the New Zealand team. It was decided that in cases where a medical examination was considered to bo necessary it should be carried out on the day of the arrival of the team in Wellington. The Wellington team will be selected by Mr. W. J. Wallace and Mr. F. Kilby. The AH Blacks will assemble at Wellington on June 14. Mr. Dean gave notice of motion that the itinerary of the Maori team’s tour be reconsidered with a view to playing a match at Ohaewai, North Auckland. The matter will be settled finally, next week. It was reported that two teams playinn- at Athletic Park on June 3 left the field fit half-time in direct conflict with the ruling laid down by the union. A sub-committee was appointed to confer with the Wellington Union.
