An Irishman, Stanley Woods, riding a Norton motor-cycle, won the Junior Tourist Trophy race on the Isle of Man. His time was 3hr 25min 25sec, a record. He covered the seven circuits, totalling 264 miles, at an average speed of 77.16 miles an hour. W. Handley, riding a Rudgc,. was second. His average speed was 76.36 m.p.h. Tyrell-Smith (Rudge) was .third with a speed of 74.02 m.p.h. lliirtytwo started.
