ANTI-CYCLONE APPROACHING. By Telegraph.-—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The weather will be cold, changeable and somewhat squally, with scattered showers, but gradually improving. There will be some severe inland frosts tonight. The recent disturbance moved to-day to near the Chatham Islands. An anticyclone now covers the Tasman Sea, with its highest pressure over the northern portion. Winds will be moderate to strong southerlies to westerlies of gale force between Akaroa and Bast Cape, but decreasing gradually. Seas will be heavy about Cook Straits, elsewhere rough.
