RUGBY SELECTOR APPOINTED, SPORTS CLUB’S EUCHRE PARTY. A management committee meeting of the lifton Football Club on Wednesday received the resignation of Mr. E. J). Tate as senior selector and Mr. Pat Ward was appointed in his stead. A euchre party held in the Cliftop hall on Thursday under the auspices of the Waitara Cycle and Athletic Club war, not so largely attended as its predecessors. Those who occupied the 30 tables at cards and who participated in the dance that followed had a. most enjoyable evening. The - prize-winners were , Mrs. W. Pizzey 1, Miss M. Paltndge 2, Mrs. L. Andrews and Miss Sutherland 3, Miss M. Paltridge travelling prize, Mr. S. McCreal 1, Mr. E. Peterson 2, Mr. B. Doinbroski 3, Mr., H. Stockman travelling prize. Supper was served in the interval by the club’s ladies’ committee. Mr. E. Rowe supplied the music for Die dance and Messrs. R.. Grant and J. Ei.wata were masters of ceremonies. Following the representative Maori football match on Thursday, Jaintn v. Atiawa a dance was' held in the laige meeting hall at the Manukorihi pa, where there was a large attendance-
