CENTRAL JUNIOR FOOTBALL

DRAW FOR THE FIRST ROUND.

MEETING OF THE COMMITTEE. At the annual meeting of the Central Division Junior Football Committee seven teams were nominated for the first junior competition arid six for the third grade competition. Only two teams, Toko and School, were forthcoming, to make up the fourth grade competition, aud after discussing the prospects of raising another team it was agreed to cancel this grade. Toko delegates at the meeting were not prepared to commit their club by placing their proposed fourth grade team definitely into the third grade competition. This difficulty was ultimately overcome by adding the Toko fourths temporarily to the higher grade, and drawing the fixtures giving Toko the .bye at the first match. Toko delegates undertook to secure the confirmation or otherwise of their club to this action within one week. The competitions will start on April 26 and fixtures were drawn as follows, subject to the union approving a recommendation to allow Eltham to enter a third grade team without fielding a first junior:—
