DISPLAY AT FRANKLEIGH PARK.

MR. H. BOSWELL THE CHAMPION.

Fine chrysanthemums w-ere displayed. at the Frankleigh Park chrysanthemum show in the nail yesterday. Both the number and the quality of the entries were equal to those of past years, and besides the chrysanthemums, several of which were new varieties, there were beautiful specimens of blooms in the other classes. The championship was secured by Mr. H. Boswell, Frankleigh Park, and a bloom exhibited by Mr. G. Richardson was awarded the prize for the runnerup. The prize for most points in the chrysanthemum classes went to Mr. A. S. Hunter, Fitzroy. An exhibit worthy of mention was a ■collection of vegetables shown by Mr. R. Tippins. A trade display of dahlias, ericas and specimen pot plants was made by Mr. E. Zumbach and a special exhibit of chrysanthemums and potplants by Mr..E. T. Marsh. The show will be continued this afternoon and evening, when a special late bus from New Plymouth has been arranged. The prize list is:— CHRYSANTHEMUMS. Amateur Class. (Judge, Mr. V. C. Davies.)
