CALEDONIAN CLUB AFFAIRS. The Caledonian Association Football Club held its sixth annual meeting on Thursday evening. Mr. W. Shepherd presided. Th® report stated that the secretary, Mr. J. Crowe, had resigned. owing to his work taking him out of the town. The club had won the Duff Cup, played for by the senior clubs of New Flymouth. The committee thought it opportune to remark on the even distribution of trophies to different clubs, and commended the young senior club in New Plymouth, Moturoa, on the fine performance in winning the Priest Shield. The distribution of trophies would undoubtedly be the means of improving the standard of football generally, which w 7 as what they were striving for. The club unfortunately had a very bad season financially, a debit being shown for the year. This was caused 0 by the poor attendance at one of the popular functions. This was the first occasion that the club had shown a debit on a season’s working, and the committee wished to urge on members and well-wishers of the club to support it in th® coming season. The election of officers resulted: Patron, Mr. J. Hill Motion; president, Mr. W. Hill; vice-presidents, 10 elected; secretary, Mr. P. Gardner; treasurer, trainer and coach, Mr. H. Rides; selector, Mr. H. Rides; captain of team, Mr. J. Hill; vice-captain, Mr. W. Davis; player-manager, Mr. R. Rae; delegates to Taranaki Football Association, Messrs. N. Bremner and R. Rae. The players’ subscriptions are to be: Seniors ss, under 21 2s 6d, honorary members 2s 6d.
