RICHMOND BY-ELECTION
SIR WILLIAM RAY UNOPPOSED.

Sir William Ray, Conservative, was elected unopposed for the Richmond, Surrey, seat in succession to Sir Newton Moore, who has resigned. At the general election Sir Newton had a majority of 18,873, polling 25,333 votes against the Labour candidate’s 6460.
