STABILISATION OF PRICES.
PALMERSTON SUGGESTION.
By Telegraph.—Press Association. Palmerston N., Last Night. As a means of checking the general downward tendency of prices and at the same time counteracting the policy of deflation that has been the vogue in tlie last few years the Palmerston North Chamber of Commerce has decided to recommend the Government to establish a State central bank and institution-con-trolled. currency with a view to effecting stability of the price level.
