SOUND FINANCIAL POSITION.
DECISIONS OF THE CONFERENCE.

Wanganui, April T 4. The Hibernian Catholic Benefit .Society conference was continued at Wanganui to-day. The Government' valuation disclosed that the society was in a sound financial position. The conference decided to increase the benefits in certain cases, and, subject to departmental approval, to provide for the. conditional payment of ■contributions,. for unemployed members, to establish or strengthen the contributory benevolent funds, and to arrange for the formation of a provincial council’s sick and benefit fund,' the benefits to be increased. • 1
