MANAKORIHI GOLF CLUB
OPENING OF SEASON AT WAITARA
MIXED FOURSOME PLAYED.
Tire opening mate'll of the 1932 season on the links of the Manakorihi Gulf Club, Waitara, was played yesterday. The course was in fine order but a cold southerly wind made conditions difficult. The match was a mixed foursome over nine holes without handicaps, the winners being Mrs. Middleton (captain of the ladies’ section of the club) and J. Lainbie (New Plymouth Club professional). Afternoon tea was served by the ladies. Scores are:— Larabie and Mrs. Middleton 53. Wills and Miss Armstrong 54. R. George and Mrs. Knight 56. Glasgow and Miss Allen 57. E. George and Mrs. Prichard 58. Sampson and Mrs. Whyte 61. Purdie and Miss Calgher 64. Middleton and Mrs. Dunbar 65. Tate and Miss Gorrie 67. ■ Pryke and Miss Madsen 67.
