TWELVE ENGAGEMENTS.
GIRLS PROPOSE AT DANCE. Twelve Canadian couples are engaged lo be married following a leap-year dance organised by a women’s Conservative association in Toronto. The couples became engaged in the course of a dance during which the girls were authorised to propose.
After the dance, the couples advanced toward the stage. Prizes were presented to the betrothed couples by Mr. Wilfred Reighington, Conservative member of the Ontario Legislature. He was outwardly calm until he spied his secretary in the Hnc-u;?.
