WOMAN IN CHINESE SHOP. KEEPER ‘UNCONSCIOUS’ AFTER TEA By Telegraph.—Press Association. . Wellington, April 13. Charlotte Kain, a young woman, was eliarged to-day with the theft of a canvas bag containing £723 in notes from a safe in a Chinese fruit shop in Constable Street’ on March 24. Accused, who admitted that she had stayed at the premises on the night of the robbery, denied taking tbo money and was committed'for trial. Low Foo said that after drinking a cup of tea made for him by accused lie became unconscious and did not remember anything more till about 3 a.m. when ho heard a noise as of someone trying to open the door.
