A two-seater Avro Avian aeroplane en route from Eltham to Dannevirke was forced down at Ararata, near Hawera, yesterday. morning through engine trouble. ~ A safe landing was made on Mr. A. Repairs to the engine prevented a resumption of the flight yesterday as the motor had to he partially dismantled.
