LADIES’ HOCKEY REVIVAL
CLUB FORMED AT NEW PLYMOUTH, i appointment of officers. A. meeting convened, by Miss E. L. Harlow, captain o( the Ranger Girl Guide Company, New Plymouth, of those who would be willing to help to form a ladies’ hockey club in conjunction with the company‘brought a very enthusiastic response, and there was a good attendance last night. It was decided to form a club, which ia to be known as the Rangers Club. The officers elected, were: President, Dr. P. C. Davie (subject to consent); vice-president, Mr. A. L. Moore (subject to consent); club captain, Miss Harlow; secretary, Mrs. Rees; committee, Mrs. Eagles. Misses Johnstone, Simpson, Morton, Heatly and Barnham; delegates to association, Messrs. R. J. Montgomerie and E. I'orbes. Tho subscription was fixed, at 5s and the opening practice is to be on Saturday at the racecourse at 2.30 p.m. it was decided to affiliate with the Taranaki Ladies’ Hockey Association and to endeavour to enter two teams in the competition.
