GOLFING IN SOUTHLAND
TINALS OF CHAMPIONSHIPS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Invercargill, Last Night. The final of the amateur golf championship of Southland was played over 36 holes on the Otatara links to-day in fine weather. A. Thom (Queen’s Park, Invercargill), Who was runner-up last year, beat G. C. G. Davey (St. Clair) by 9 and 7. The junior championship was won by G. B. Meredith, who beat W. Mangan (Tutapere) by 5 and 4.
