Cruickshank as the Government member on the New Plymouth Harbour Board. Manu Mataakura (Mrfe. Sharland), Minerapa Road, Okato, died on Saturday at the age of 52 years. She was a well-known Native, the mother of 19 children, many of whom are living in the Okato district. The Taranaki branch of the New Zealand Society of Accountants at its annual meeting at New Plymoiith on Wednesday elected Mr. S. E. Nielson (New Plymouth) president for the ensuing year, replacing Mr. F. E. Clarke (Hawera), whose term of office has expired.

Mr. and Mrs. Roebuck resided in the district for over 50 years. Mrs. Roebuck was an active worker for the Methodist Church, She leaves a family of six, Mesdames Walter Clark, Arthur Andrews and M. R.
