WAIKATO LIVE STOCK VALUES. POORER DEMAND FOR BEEF. Hamilton, March 8. The usual yarding of ox beef and a large offering of cow beef came forward at the weekly stock sale at the Frankton yards to-day. Both classes were in poorer demand than last week, and values accordingly declined slightly. Late rates were fully maintained for store cows. A slight decline in prices was also recorded for all classes of sheep, of which there was a heavy entry. There was a large yarding of fat pigs. The demand for baconers at the beginning of the sale was not keen, but a considerable improvement was shown toward the end. Porkers remained firm at late quotations, while stores improved slightly.
