NEW TRANSPORT AUTHORITY
SITTING WITHOUT CHAIRMAN.

Wellington, Last Night. The first sitting of the Central Transport Licensing Authority under the Transport Licensing Act commenced at Wellington to-day. Colonel Allen presided and explained that the permanent chairman, Mr. Justice Frazer, would probably not be available for the whole of the sitting. 'Associated with Colonel Allen was Mr. H. B. S. Johnstone, and also present was the Commissioner of Transport (Mr. J. S. Hunter).
