BODY FOUND IN RIVER

INVERCARGILL MAN IDENTIFIED.

By Telegraph.—Press Association. Palmerston N. Jan. I'2. The body of an elderly man found in the Manawatu River on Sunday has been identified by Senior-Sergt. Martin, of the Dannevirke police, as that of Samuel Dennison, aged between 70 and 80 years, with no fixed residence. Dennison lived in the Dannevirke and Palmerston North districts for several years and hailed from Invercargill, where many years ago he was employed as,a gardener. He had no known relatives.
